Important notes

While using the Saferoom Chrome Extension, please note the following:

  • Since all operations are done in memory (nothing is saved or stored on local PC) sometimes decryption procedure might take some time. For example, if you have note with large attachments
  • Saferoom Chrome extension is using Chrome Local Storage to store the selected encrypted note.
  • Due to Evernote Web Client specific way of work, sometimes selected notes cannot be decrypted (when you click the Saferoom icon you see the empty window or previously decrypted note). The workaround is to just refresh the page and then you can decrypt this note.
  • If you want to decrypt text notes (without attachments), you can decrypt notes, encrypted by all Saferoom apps (iOS, Android, Windows, MacOS). However, if you want to decrypt notes with attachments, currently extension can properly decrypt only notes, created and encrypted by Saferoom Windows app. Corresponding updates for all platforms are coming soon
